Chyna Hart serves as the Associate Director for the Dowdy Multicultural Center and is a West Philadelphia native. She is a two-time West Chester University alumni and received her bachelor’s degree in Communications (2015) and her master’s degree in Higher Education Policy & Student Affairs (2022). She is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in education policy, planning, and administration and specializes in the character building of students. She is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority , Incorporated and enjoys serving her community with her sorority sisters. When she isn't doing community service she enjoys painting, traveling, and dancing .

Angela Garrett has been employed at West Chester University since November 2, 2015 in the Dowdy Multicultural Center (formerly the Office of Multicultural Affairs). She is also a graduate of West Chester University with a bachelors degree in Business Management/Public Affairs. Along with her husband and children, she was a long term resident of West Chester, PA since 1996.
Angela was previously employed at the Chester County Domestic Relations office as a Hearing Officer and Enforcement Officer for 7 years prior to moving to Illinois with her husband due to job relocation. Upon her return to the West Chester, PA area she became her father’s caregiver Angela currently resides in Newtown Square, PA. She enjoys assisting and encouraging the students in the Dowdy Multicultural Center, spending quality time with her family and vacationing at the beach. She’s a member of the Christian Faith Fellowship church where she serves on the Financial Ministry team.

Journey is proudly from Pittsburgh, PA and has aspirations of attending law school
to become a defense attorney. Journey’s hobbies include spending time with her dog
and cooking. After graduating, Journey stepped into the professional arena where she
secured a role as the Executive Assistant, specializing in Human Resources, at A and
K Assisted Community Living. Journey belongs to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and
dedicates her time to meaningful endeavors, constantly giving back to the community.

Ciani is from Lancaster City, PA and enjoys spending her free time listening to all
kinds of podcasts. Ciani is involved around campus as a Resident Assistant in Brandywine
Hall and the Programs Coordinator on the Multicultural Organizations Advisory Board
(MOAB).

Madison is involved with Ram Initiative on campus as a mentor for students with intellectual disabilities and serves as the Treasurer of Future Teachers United. Madison has been a part of a Research Fellowship analyzing positive and negative representations of diverse children’s literature and is in pursuit of becoming a Reading Specialist. She enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with friends.

Mya is currently a part of Empowering Communities Around You (ECAY) as the Vice President, as well as the Multicultural Organizations Advisory Board (MOAB) as the President. Mya is also a counselor for Harcum College's Upward Bound Program. Mya enjoys designing flyers, cooking, singing, and spending time with friends and family.

Shanyia currently works as a Tech Center Assistant for the College of Education and Social Work and serves as the Secretary of the Tri-Alpha, First-Generation Honor Society. Shanyia is a former Peer Mentor for the Dowdy Multicultural Center's Peer Mentoring Program. Outside of academics and extracurriculars, she enjoys volunteering, learning new languages, reading, and collecting albums.
