Registrar

Any individual who has served or is currently serving in the United States Armed Forces, including a reserve component and National Guard; and was discharged or released from such service under conditions other than dishonorable, is eligible for priority registration at WCU. Students need to self-identify as veterans or active duty military and provide sufficient documentation in order to receive priority registration status. Enrollment appointments are set every semester, please refer to the Academic Calendar to see when registration begins. Veterans will be provided priority scheduling - these students would priority schedule by class standing, and would have 24 hours to schedule before the other members of their class.

Students who have provided the Greg and Sandra Weisenstein Veterans Center with a Certificate of Eligibility from the VA indicating that they are using their own benefits and not benefits transferred to them, will automatically be provided with priority registration.

All other students who believe they are eligible for priority registration will need to provide documentation to the Greg and Sandra Weisenstein Veterans Center.

• Veterans should provide a copy of their DD214.
• Current service members should provide a copy of their military ID to the Greg and Sandra Weisenstein Veterans Center.
• Documentation must be submitted to the Greg and Sandra Weisenstein Veterans Center according to the following timeline:
  • Winter and Spring terms: have all documents to the Veteran's center by the first weekday in September.
  • Summer and Fall terms: have all documents to the Veteran's center by the first weekday in February.
