Fall Academic Success Program
The Fall Academic Success Program (ASP) occurs during the fall semester and includes academic coursework, tutoring, academic advising, mentoring, activities and events.
If you’ve been admitted to WCU’s Academic Success Program and you’ve selected Fall ASP as your preferred ASP option, congrats!
ASP REQUIREMENTS
- Acceptance into the Academic Success Program (ASP)
- Complete the Placement Assessment to determine appropriate course placement
- Participation in Fall ASP courses and academic success
- Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in Fall ASP courses
FALL ASP COURSES
For Fall ASP you will take two courses for a total of six credits. Courses are determined by results of the required Placement Assessments. Placement Assessments for Fall ASP are available via your Enrollment Portal
FALL ASP TUTORING
Tutoring is integrated into and required for all of the ASP courses. Tutors attend classes with you, meet weekly with the faculty, and work with you one-on-one or in small groups throughout the week. Tutoring sessions emphasize course content and also focus on study and time management skills. Your tutoring schedule will be provided to you during the first week of class.
CAMPUS LIFE
An important part of Fall ASP is getting acquainted to your new campus. During Fall ASP you’ll participate in fun and informational events designed to build community. Welcome home, Golden Ram!
