Adopt a Spot
Off-Campus and Commuter Services (OCCS) is thrilled to support the Adopt a Spot program!
Mission and Outcomes: Adopt a Spot intends to contribute to the WCU culture of civic responsibility and good neighbor actions by removing litter and thereby beautifying our campus and the surrounding off-campus community. Adopt a Spot organizations demonstrate their commitment to their community through trash pick-up while earning service hours and making West Chester a cleaner, safer, and more beautiful place to live, learn, and play.
Process: Each summer, student organizations have the opportunity to recommit or register to participate in the Adopt a Spot program. After the contract is signed, organizations will receive their spot assignment for the forthcoming year. Organizations are required to clean their spot twice each month. Each organization is responsible for identifying a Team Leader who submits tracking information related to date, time, participation numbers, and proof of cleanup via the Adopt a Spot RamConnect page. Supplies: OCCS is happy to provide organizations with gloves and trash bags upon request. For more information, please contact Commuters@wcupa.edu.
