Our Mission

Wellness Promotion engages students in opportunities to cultivate sustainable skills in health and well-being.

Our Vision

We create and develop a university community where every student can thrive in their health and well-being journey.

Our Values

In addition to the Division of Student Affairs values of accountability, collaboration, holistic student development and social justice, Wellness Promotion values include:

Fostering connection: We believe in the positive impact that comes from nurturing supportive relationships with all members of the university community--students, families, staff, faculty, alums, and community partners. We believe it is our responsibility to journey with them and provide good company along the way.

Creating awareness: We believe in the importance of creating attentiveness in our environment, thoughts, behaviors, and feelings to ground ourselves.

Cultivating insight: We believe in the importance of fostering the capacity to examine personal experiences through a strengths-based approach to clarify and challenge our understanding of the world.

Generating meaning: We believe in the growth potential of every one of us that comes from developing our values, exploring our purpose, and applying knowledge through action to strengthen communities and personally thrive.
