Furniture provided for each resident:
- Twin XL bed and mattress (for traditional residence halls) or Standard Twin bed and mattress (for on-campus Apartments)
- Desk
- Chair
- Closet or wardrobe
Included in each residence/room:
- Window blinds
- Air Condition (Goshen, Killinger, Schmidt, Tyson, and College Arms Apartments are air conditioned via window-unit air conditioners. The South Campus Apartment Complex has central air conditioning)
- Wireless internet service provided by WCU (RamNet)
Included in every residence hall:
- Laundry facility with free laundry
- 24/7 card or key entry access
- Active WCU Residence Life Program with Graduate Hall Director for each building
- Study spaces, game room, TV lounges
- Full kitchen or kitchenette in every residence hall

Do the window's have blinds?
Yes, all of WCU Housing rooms have window blinds.
What size sheets will I need for my bed?
All of our north campus residence hall rooms have extra long twin beds, and require 80-inch sheets. The South Campus Apartment Complex need 76-inch sheets (standard twin).
Are the rooms air conditioned?
Yes. Goshen Hall, Killinger Hall, Schmidt Hall, Tyson Hall, and College Arms Apartments are air conditioned via window-unit air conditioners. The South Campus Apartment Complex has central air conditioning.
Can I bring my own air conditioner?
No. This is not necessary as window-unit air conditioners are provided in each room.
Are we allowed to have a microwave?
Resident students are permitted to bring a microwave provided it is no larger than 0.7 cubic feet.
You may rent a microwave/minifridge combined unit through Microfridge. Microfridge delivers the unit prior to move-in and will pick up the unit after you move out.
Be sure to get in touch with your roommate(s) to coordinate items that can be shared such as microwaves, rugs, mini-fridges, appliances and decor.
Are we allowed to have a refrigerator?
Students are permitted to bring a refrigerator provided it is no larger than 3.6 cubic feet.

Are the rooms carpeted?
North campus residence hall rooms are not carpeted. The South Campus Apartment Complex rooms are carpeted.

What size carpet should I buy?
The dimensions of the rooms are above. We recommend using a carpet that is slightly smaller to ensure the best fit.
